This intensive three-month interactive virtual training is ideal for doctors and nurses in LMICs seeking to develop their knowledge and skills so they can deliver excellent care to their patients.

Epilepsy Rescue Medication Training

This training will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills required to provide emergency support to people living with epilepsy in their care. We recommend that participants attend the Epilepsy Awareness Training prior to this course.

  • Prolonged and cluster seizures
  • Status epilepticus
  • Epilepsy risk assessment and management
  • Rescue/emergency medication – Rectal Diazepam and Buccal Midazolam
  • Safe administration of rescue medication
  • Epilepsy first aid

Learning Outcomes:

  • Be able to recognise epilepsy emergency situations
  • Possess the right knowledge and skills to respond appropriately during these situations
