Description  

These terms and conditions cover all PretolaGHC’s training courses, except otherwise stated.

 

Objectives  

Our training courses are designed to equip health and social care providers with knowledge and practical tools required to deliver the best possible care within their service context to people living with epilepsy, autism and learning disabilities. PretolaGHC and its trainers are highly experienced practitioners who are committed to delivering consistently excellent training programmes.

 

By signing up to a PretolaGHC training, you agree to be bound to these Terms. You also commit to full attendance of the training, payment of the total training fee and authorise PretolaGHC to debit your account or charge your credit card for the total training fee.

 

Duration  

The training will last for the duration indicated on the course page on PretolaGHC’s website.

 

Structure  

Some courses are conducted via face-to-face classroom teaching whilst others are delivered virtually. Do ensure you check the course format before making a booking.

 

Fees

Course fees are indicated on the relevant course page on PretolaGHC’s website. Group booking prices are agreed on a case by case basis between PretolaGHC and the client. All course fees are payable at the point of booking. PretolaGHC is unable to offer payment plans unless expressly agreed with a client in exceptional circumstances.

 

Attendance

1. Participants are responsible for prompt attendance at training sessions – whether face-to-face or virtually. It is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they are equipped appropriately to join the sessions on time. If attending a virtual training, participants are strongly advised to join the sessions via a laptop or a desktop PC so they can fully participate in the learning.   

2. Participants MUST be present physically/virtually for the duration of the training to receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’.

 

Training Materials

1. Where trainings are recorded, they might be made available to participants for a limited time. These recordings are for the personal use of participants and must not be shared with anyone not part of the training. Any unpermitted sharing of resources with non-members of the training shall be deemed by PretolaGHC as a breach of contract.    

2. The recordings, course content and materials relating to any PretolaGHC training are only for participants’ personal use as applicable. They are not for commercial exploitation (e.g. by resale to others or by republication to the public). Nothing in these terms of use or in the terms and conditions relating to any PretolaGHC training or other services should be construed as conferring upon the participant any copyright or other intellectual property license or right (whether by implication, estoppel or otherwise), unless expressly permitted by PretolaGHC in writing. The participant agrees that applicable copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights and laws, all of which belong to PretolaGHC, protect all training materials, virtual or physical.   

 

Privacy & Confidentiality

1. PretolaGHC or its trainers will never share your identity or any information about you with any other person or organisation without your express consent. PretolaGHC’s privacy policy can be viewed here.

2. All participants are advised to anonymise case studies/examples during Q&As and interactive sessions so as to protect patients’ confidentiality. 

 

Refund /Cancellation  

1. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge that you understand our cancellation and refund policy which is as follows:

1. For virtual trainings, you will be entitled to a full refund if you cancel your booking at least 48 hours to the training day. Any cancellations within 48 hours to the start of the training will not be refunded. 

2. For face-to-face classroom trainings or group bookings, you will get a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days to the day of the training. Any cancellations within 2 – 6 days to the start of the training will be eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours to the start of the training will not be eligible for a refund. 

1. A notification of refund/cancellation will be deemed to have been received by PretolaGHC if sent to and acknowledged by the PretolaGHC support team at info@pretolaghc.net   

 

Indemnity   

1. Participant agrees to indemnify PretolaGHC and its trainers from any liability or actions that may be related to any comments or suggestions made by other participants in any training programme. Participant recognises and agrees that all of PretolaGHC’s directors, trustees and affiliates shall not be held personally responsible or liable for any actions or representations of PretolaGHC.

2. In consideration of and as part of my payment for the right to participate in PretolaGHC trainings, the undersigned, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns do hereby release, waive, acquit, discharge, indemnify, defend, hold harmless and  forever discharge PretolaGHC and its subsidiaries, principals, directors,  employees and any of the training instructors, guide, staff or students taking part in the training in any way as well as the venue or platform where the  training is being held (if applicable) and any of its owners, executives, agents, or  staff, from all actions, causes of action, contracts, claims, suits, costs, demands and  damages of whatever nature or kind in law or in an equity arising from my participation in the training.

3. Each participant is responsible for translating and applying knowledge gained during any of PretolaGHC’s trainings to their own practice settings and ensuring that they are always operating within relevant standards applicable to their countries. PretolaGHC is indemnified from misinterpretation and wrongful application of knowledge gained during any of our trainings.
