EAMC Terms & Condition

Description
The Epilepsy Assessment and Management Course (‘the Course’).

 

Objectives
This intensive training will provide knowledge and practical tools to help you deliver the best care possible to people living with epilepsy in your service context.

 

Duration
The Course will run for a period of 12 weeks.

 

Structure
The Course consists of 6 bi-weekly sessions covering 12 topics. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. Sessions will be held every other Saturday except otherwise communicated.

 

Format
This is a virtual training; all sessions will be delivered on Zoom with the opportunity to network with fellow participants via a private EAMC Telegram group. All sessions will be delivered in English language.

 

Terms and Conditions:
I. The Course fee is £80. This covers the entire duration of the course (12 weeks).
II. Payment has to be made before registration can be completed. All payment is to be made in full via Debit/Credit card, PayPal or other payment facilities. PretolaGHC is unable to offer payment plans. All payments should be made via the Course page on PretolaGHC’s website.
III. Participants are responsible for joining the sessions via Zoom at the prescribed time. It is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they are equipped appropriately to join the sessions on time. All participants are advised to join the sessions via a laptop or a desktop PC and to have purchased adequate data before each session they can fully participate in the learning.
IV. Participants MUST attend ALL sessions to receive the ‘Certificate of Attendance’ upon completion of the Course.
V. All training sessions will be recorded and available to participants for a limited time. These recordings are for the personal use of participants and must not be shared with anyone not part of the Course. The participant is responsible for protecting their investment into all components of this Course by not sharing resources outside of the Course. Any unpermitted sharing of resources with non-members of the Course shall be deemed by PretolaGHC as a breach of contract.
VI. PretolaGHC or the trainers will never share your identity or any information about you with any other
person or organisation without your express consent. All participants are advised to anonymise case
studies/examples during Q&As and interactive sessions so as to protect patients’ confidentiality.
VII. The recordings, course content and materials in this Course are only for participants’ personal use as applicable. They are not for commercial exploitation (e.g. by resale to others or by republication to the public). Nothing in these terms of use or in the terms and conditions relating to any PretolaGHC training or other services should be construed as conferring upon the participant any copyright or other intellectual property license or right (whether by implication, estoppel or otherwise), unless expressly permitted by PretolaGHC in writing. The participant agrees that applicable copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights and laws, all of which belong to PretolaGHC, protect all
training materials, virtual or physical.
VIII. By registering for the Course, you acknowledge that you have received a copy of the Standard Terms and Conditions above, have read, and will be bound by the terms and conditions. You also commit to full attendance of the Course, payment of the total Course fee provided above and authorise PretolaGHC to debit your account or charge your credit card for the total Course fee.

 

Refund /Cancellation
I. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge that you understand that you will be entitled to a refund of 75% of the course fee where:
● You notify PretolaGHC at least a month before the first day of the training with your refund
request. A notification of refund/cancellation will be deemed to have been received by
PretolaGHC if sent to and acknowledged by the EAMC support team at eamcsupport@pretolaghc.net.

II. Any cancellations within a month of the course start date or during the course will not be entitled to a refund.

 

Indemnity
I. The Participant agrees to indemnify PretolaGHC and its trainers from any liability or actions that may be related to any comments or suggestions made by other participants on the Course. Participant recognises and agrees that all of PretolaGHC’s directors, trustees and affiliates shall not be held personally responsible or liable for any actions or representations of PretolaGHC.
II. In consideration of and as part of my payment for the right to participate in PretolaGHC trainings, the undersigned, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns do hereby release, waive, acquit, discharge, indemnify, defend, hold harmless and forever discharge PretolaGHC and its subsidiaries, principals, directors, employees and any of the training instructors, guide, staff or students taking part in the training in any way as well as the venue or platform where the training is being held (if applicable) and any of its owners, executives, agents, or staff, from all actions, causes of action, contracts, claims, suits, costs, demands and damages of whatever nature or kind in law or in an equity arising from my participation in the Course
III. Each participant is responsible for translating and applying knowledge gained during the Course to their own practice settings and ensuring that they are always operating within relevant standards applicable to their countries. PretolaGHC is indemnified from misinterpretation and wrongful application of knowledge gained during the Course.
